IELTS General Training measures English language proficiency in a practical, everyday context. The tasks and tests reflect both workplace and social situations.

You can choose between IELTS General Training on paper or computer. Both test formats will take place at one of our official test centres.

Fee for the IELTS General Training test:
IELTS on paper: AED 1,270 (inclusive of VAT)
IELTS on computer: AED 1,370 (Inclusive of VAT)
Duration: 2 hours and 45 minutes.
Format:
There are four sections to the test: Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking. When you book your IELTS test with the British Council, it will take place in an official British Council IELTS test center. You have the option to choose between paper-based or computer-based tests.
You can choose the date and venue for your speaking test according to your convenience when you register for the IELTS test online.
