Omar Abdul Aziz graduated with an Executive MBA from Cass Business School, City University of London with specific focus in Strategy, Leadership and Innovation. He is currently an investment banker at Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank. He started his career over 12 years ago at ABN AMRO Bank N.V. as a customer service officer and since then has held multiple roles in wealth management, Treasury and most recently in investment banking. He is specialized in financial analysis, business development, and strategy.

Over the last 10 years Omar has been a member of the Emirati Committee responsible for mentoring young Emirati professionals and guiding them in their careers. In 2008, Omar was 1 of 10 UAE nationals handpicked to represent UAE in South America with a focus to build international business relationships and facilitating a mutual understanding of culture and traditions. During the program he received an award for outstanding leadership. Omar’s varied interests have also led him to be part of other initiatives, including working with the World Wild Life Fund (WWF) on mangrove conservation and with Dubai Golf on a strategy to recreate the Golf Academy with a specific focus on developing Emirati golf talent.

Over the next few years Omar aims to pursue a research degree (Phd) in the field of Strategy. He is also working currently on the UAE National Golf team development process and hopes one day to become a leading amateur golfer.
