The winning design of the inaugural Abu Dhabi Art Pavilion Prize
As part of UK/UAE 2017 Year of Creative Collaboration, the British Council has partnered with the Department of Culture and Tourism, Abu Dhabi to launch the inaugural edition of the Abu Dhabi Art Pavilion Prize.
The initiative brought university students and graduates from across the UAE together to develop an architectural design for a Pavilion to be showcased at Abu Dhabi Art from 8-11 November.
Visit Abu Dhabi Art 2017 to see the winning design of the Abu Dhabi Art Pavilion Prize, by Salwa Al Khudairi and Nada Al Mulla.
There will also be a panel discussion presented by Abu Dhabi Art, the British Council and the Royal Institute of British Architects, Gulf Chapter (RIBA) on the Award and wider architectural themes. This is part of the public programme of talks which will feature leading speakers from the UK and the Gulf in conversation with the prize winners.
The winning pavilion will be exhibited at the British Ambassador’s residence for two months following the fair’s conclusion, where it will be used as a social space for guests of the Embassy.
