As part of UK/UAE 2017 we are excited to announce the professional development workshops and talks for museum practitioners on inclusivity and accessibility in the museum environment.

Marcus Dickley Horley, Curator of Access and Special Projects at the Tate visits the UAE

The British Council is partnering with Tate, inviting Marcus Dickley Horley, Curator of Access and Special Projects at Tate Modern and Tate Britain, to deliver three workshops on inclusivity and accessibility for museums in three locations across the UAE (Sharjah, Dubai and Al Ain).

The workshop aim is to contribute to building a museum environment able to cater for and engage with diverse audiences including people with disabilities. The course will explore three types of disability: Sensory, Mobility impairment, and Learning difficulty.

The workshops are in partnership with Sharjah Museums DepartmentAbu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority and Dubai Culture
