A writing competition for children aged 6 to 12 years old
As part of the UK/UAE 2017 Year of Creative Collaboration, Art For All and the Roald Dahl Literary Estate are holding a writing competition for children aged 5 to 12 years old.
Budding authors can celebrate Roald Dahl’s Centenary and get their imaginations flowing by writing a story inspired by the theme: Fantastic Mr Fox in the UAE.
The competition will be judged by the Roald Dahl Estate and prizes include airline tickets to London and passes for Dubai Parks.
Part of Art For All’s philosophy, and that of the British Council, is to encourage literacy and an interest in the arts – both local and of course British - and so we felt this would be a wonderful fit for our Creative Collaboration in 2017.
How to enter
Children aged between six and 12 can write an adventurous story all about Fantastic Mr Fox in the UAE, using the characters from Fantastic Mr Fox, and then incorporate them into a new short story.
