A celebration of heritage of diverse communities for UAE National Day

The festival, which is a celebration of UAE National Day organised by The Arts Center at the New York University, is the third annual multiple-artist celebration of heritage draws from the diverse communities of the UAE to share original poetry, prose, and song.
The British Council and PRS Foundation have appointed UK based jazz percussionist and composer Sarathy Korwar to undertake a creative residency in the UAE. In collaboration with The Fridge and New York University, Abu Dhabi, the musician will have access to UAE audiences giving him opportunities for collaboration with local artists, create new music and give live performance. Working with influential local and regional artists will establish important contacts and give valuable insights into local society and culture.
